At worst, the BJCP guys may have some use for them.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Indeed. Valuable analysis could be conducted! :ugeek:

Though only a bottle or two would do haha

Already dumped. Had another sample today and I wouldn't be able to handle drinking enough to get a buzz on. Now I have clean bottles for the spruce & spice winter beer and a freed up carboy for more brewing.

I am pretty sure I know where I went wrong. Lesson learned.

Didn't think of that. Would have bottled a couple.

Just had a sample of my BC version. Wow, spicy veggies. Not my favorite hops... but now I know.

It'll grow on you, I wasn't sure about it at first either but I really enjoy it now. It's very distinct!
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I don't think we ever confirmed this, but with a Jan date, will those who were unable to make it in Dec now back in?
And/or if you can't make the meeting, willing to send along beer (and receive a goodie box after)?
There are a few guys who have either crossed out or erased their entry in the sheet or mentioned here they were out, just looking for clarification.

I'm still out. My brewing schedule is screwed up, so mine will likely be consumed by relatives invading my house over the holidays.

Damn, I was looking forward to the Nelson Sauvin, I really enjoy that hop. Make sure the relatives know what they're enjoying :spilly:

I'll see if I can stash away a growler of it so you guys can at least have a taste at the meeting. It tasted excellent going into the keg.

Let's pick a date for this! How about the 19th of January? Not set on that date or anything, but we have to pick one.

Any volunteers to host this? I'm always up for a party at my place so I can host in Timberlea, though if a location on the peninsula results in a better turn out for this one I'll gladly defer to another lucky hostess :headbang: 8-)

Ok folks... so this is a week and a half away. Sandy, can you commit to hosting this gathering?

Looks like we have two groups, those that brewed a single hop per the recipe, and those that didn't brew one at all.. (I guess there are those like Jayme/Gavin that brewed their own versions of a single hop beer). Regardless, all are welcome. Even if you don't have single hop beer to trade (we'll need to update the spreadsheet to confirm who has made what and want in on the trade so us traders now how many small bottles to bring), come on over to Sandy's! We're just going to be sampling the single hops and whatever else folks want to bring (bring a growler worth.. or a whole keg, or anything you've got.. no need to limit this in. It's a standard Brewnoser's 'weekend gathering'.. bring some beer, bring some food/snacks/etc.. splash pants (that's for you Becky!).

Let's have a party! :spilly: :rockin:

I haven't got to yes yet. But I think it's coming. Any lady's coming, this may sell it more? I may have a couple of Bewwnoser friends who will want to come as well.

I'd say the timing's up to GAM and the boss, assuming we get the go-ahead.
Are you willing to host, TimG, if the more central location falls through?
