It was stuck at 1.032. Still bubbling away now. Will check the gravity tomorrow evening and let you know how the yeasties did.NASH wrote:Crazyness! But good. What was the gravity stuck at? Sounds like a hell of a re-fermentation on a stuck brewhogie wrote:

And then aged?
Then we come back and refill a carboy with the crazy mixed concoction?

So I'm down to 1.025 now and there're still a healthy krausen on the go. Might be cutting it close for Saturday but we shall see.

It's fine. Just keep the carboy wrapped in a blanket or out of the sun somehow for the drive.

Down to 1.022 now but I don't think it'll be ready for the weekend. Still way too active.

I have no problem if it's still fermenting a bit. In fact, that would be good. But it's up to you if you can transport it.

Well it doesn't look like the hop order will arrive by Friday so I don't know what I'll do. I can arrange transport of the beer if I can't go though. Will see what tomorrow brings.

If you can't make it, we'll go with RobD's beer. I told him I'd let him know early tomorrow, so think about it, and get back to me ASAP.

Since RobD wasn't on the list someone now has to go off the second round, I will give up my spot if it works out that way and hogie can't make it.mr x wrote:If you can't make it, we'll go with RobD's beer. I told him I'd let him know early tomorrow, so think about it, and get back to me ASAP.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Just keep in mind that nobody really knows how much this thing holds...Nash couldn't measure what he put in. I just need to make sure we have 55 gallons ready for this filling, and we can go for m there. I am going to get RobD's beer anyway, and am assuming hogie is out for this round. We still may need your beer yet LD. Nobody will know until we start filing on Saturday.

Just found out the hop order definitely won't arrive tomorrow (hasn't even shipped yet) so I won't be going over.
However, if you want my RIS, I have someone lined up and ready to take the keg to Halifax Saturday morning.

No, that's OK. I'm grabbing RobD's tonight, so hang on to yours until next filling.

Are you really willing to miss the filling and the fruit beer festival just because the hops aren't in?hogie wrote:Just found out the hop order definitely won't arrive tomorrow (hasn't even shipped yet) so I won't be going over.

Does this accurately reflect our volumes? Making the assumption people will be bringing their beer to Kegger's in a corney keg.mr x wrote:No, that's OK. I'm grabbing RobD's tonight, so hang on to yours until next filling.

I have 10 gallons.... FTB!

I also have some in a keg, in case we need top up. If we have any left over we will gather it in that keg for the angels share.

Whoops, my mistake. How about we put in five of everybody's, with RobD's last, and if we need more, we'll go with Nick's and my second kegs. Shouldn't need much 'angels share' for the timeframe we are talking about, but it will be good to have it just incase.
