I was thinking the same thing Jimmy... If nothing else, at least something to cover the food. I wonder if any stores would be clearing canopies out right now for cheap?

I have a big umbrella with a base. Not much but two or three could cover a table or protect the grille.

I wonder if larger ones can be rented? Anybody feel like working on that one? I'm gonna be busy today.

Not as slick as those canopies, but I'm pretty sure I have a tarp and collapsible poles with my camping gear. Can't for the life of me remember how large the tarp is though.

Called Macfarlands, nothing available bigger than the 10x10 shown below.

Macfarlands wants $125 to rent a 10x10 like this:

Walmart has these for $45 each..9'x9':

$125 for a 10x10 seems high, but we'll have to work something out. I'll be out soon and see what's available.

That just takes me to the store locator.

Would it be possible for me to drop off the corn tomorrow morning sometime? I've got 2 dozen, I figure half a cob a person would serve 48 - should be plenty given all the other food that will be there, right?

Any chance I could get a lift from anybody coming from Cole Harbour way? Even just a ride home would be fine and I can find my way there.
