Shall we plan an October meeting

Post by Brewnoser » Sun Sep 15, 2024 10:05 am

It’s been too long for me. I’ve moved out of town so the old HQ on Clifton is no more. But I can get into the city for a meet up. We have one new National Judge in town - Steve Haynes has managed to get there after a long journey. And we have at least one new Certified judge in town, semi-fresh from the land of Oz - Marius Barnsley. So with me, and any other judge who shows, you’ll be able to bring beers for evaluation. This can be for numerous reasons.

1. Sort out a problem.
2. Advise in what style to enter in a comp.
3. Improve a beer (if possible)
4. Learn about how to become a judge.
5. Overall self satisfaction that the beer you thought was killer really is. (My fave category, because I get to drink it)

So, all we need is a location and date. Location is something we’ve always tried to make as transit accessible as possible. Date was traditionally the second Tuesday of the month. But that can change. (I can’t do Mondays and Thursdays)

Jeff

I’ve just been working on getting back into the game myself. Glad to see you’re also back at it Jeff. I’m interested in a meetup as well if we can get a group together.

It’s just a matter of a location and critical mass. I no longer live in the city. Out in St Margaret’s Bay now.

I’m happy to travel if necessary don’t really have contact with any of the old guard. Let me know if something comes together.

I'm happy to go anywhere or host, but I'm in Mt. Uniacke. I'm just not good on the traditional Tuesdays...
Hey! Here's a selfish classified ad at the bottom of my name...
Party Time Brewing - Check it out. It's Beer! Sometimes available at Battery Park and soon at Real Fake Meats on Gottingen St. PM me if you want to buy some beer or just stop by and check out the brewery.
