The Yeast Bay / Dan Star / Wyeast

Post by GillettBreweryCnslt » Fri Jul 17, 2015 8:56 am

Ok, so I'm going to be expanding my yeast selection drastically very soon. I'll be bringing in The Yeast Bay, Dan Star and Wyeast to compliment the White Labs and Fermentis yeasts I already carry.

What strains to you want me to bring in? I thought about a pre-buy, but it's too much work at the moment. So if you want a specific strain that you will purchase, let me know. If you have an opinion of what you want to see in store, I'd like that too.

I'll probably be placing the order in the next week or two. Here's the Complete Lineups FYI:

Wyeast: http://www.wyeastlab.com/rw_yeaststrain.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Yeast Bay Brewer's Yeast: http://www.theyeastbay.com/brewers-yeast-products/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The Yeast Bay Wild Yeast and Bacteria: http://www.theyeastbay.com/wild-yeast-a ... -products/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Danstar: http://www.danstaryeast.com/products" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks!

Depends on how much I bring in, but probably around $10.99-$11.49 each for all of the Yeast Bay vials, $8.49 for the Wyeast and it'll vary for the Dan Star.

I'd also go for a vermont yeast, just to see what the fuss is about.

What is the fuss about?

I'm not setup to culture yeast. No space for it. I can buy the conan if you want to build it up to a few jars.

I have a feeling the vermont will be a big seller! I'm definitely interested.

When I get around to making sours I'd love to use Roeselare. Not sure when that'll happen, though.

Hi Marc.

Sorry for the delay, I didn't bring any in this order, it hasn't been selling recently. I can definitely bring more in next time though.

Cheers

Dave that's ok, the recipe calls for that or 1056, so I'd also be able to use us05 or wlp001, so I have lots of choice

Shipment was delayed as the Yeast Bay is behind on my order. In theory it shipped yesterday.
