BrewPi Build

I just finished putting together a BrewPi http://www.brewpi.com I purchased the pre-soldered shield directly from Brewpi. Putting it all together was pretty easy by following the guide they have on the site. I really like the control you have over the temps and the fermentation profile options. I still need to get a thermowell to get more accurate temps, but for now the sensor is in the blow off container.

That looks wicked, but in the guide, it says the fridge should be very clean. How was the brew when it was finished?

I have a spare fridge that I'm not using, plenty of cash, and a reason to buy a Raspberry Pi... Might be the time to take a plunge into this hobby!

How do you like your controller so far?

Also what's going on with your brewpot/fermentor?

Great looking build. If you tape the probe to the side of the fermenter, and cover the probe with a bit of insulation you will get a more accurate reading of the beer than in the blowoff container.

I'm loving this controller so far. I have since started using a thermowell for the temperature probe and it seems to be pretty accurate. The beer's are turning out great, happy I put the brewpi together

How's this working out for you?

Did you order both the arduino and pi combos?

The BrewPi is working great. I use it for all of my batches and haven't had any issues. I got the Pi from Amazon a long time ago before i knew about the BrewPi, the Arduino was from eBay, and the rest (other than the wiring/box) is from the BrewPi store directly. I figured using the same parts would make following the guides easier :)

I almost have my BrewPi build completed.

I'm ordering all the parts separately and already had a Raspberry Pi kicking around from a previous project. Just waiting on the 2 channel relay and some wiring accessories to keep everything neat.

Where did you get that project box?
