Hey all,

Decided to move my CO2 outside of my keezer, flipping the top up in the middle of a party to turn on the gas is a bit annoying.

So I am going to put a hole in my collar that will have the co2 line go through it and then connect to the manifold on the inside.

Does anyone know of a rubber gasket that is the size of the red thick lined co2 hose?

Electrical section of hardware store maybe? put one of these in the inside wall and one in the outside shell of the freezer cabinet. Let me know what you come up with. I think that's a good idea. What about putting the splitter on the outside also, and run all the keg gas lines through the wall? it would tidy things up.

I have a wooden collar
I figured 1 line was best as i already have 2 big lines out at the other end that carry the beer lines to the tower
i figure every hole is another way to lose coldness

those gaskets you have pictured is that where they would be in the electrical section?

I think so, but now you mention it I'm not sure. I think they are common, and should be somewhere in the hardware store, don't want to lead you on a wild goose chase though.

I went to Home Hardware on the way from work and they don’t have them. I’m sure I’ve seen them somewhere. Perhaps it’s an English thing from when I re-wired my house in England and they go in the holes in junction boxes. Not been much help really, sorry

You have a wooden collar so they wouldn’t work for you anyway. I don't have a wooden collar, so I might keep looking for them.

I did see something interesting on the shelf though......

I just drilled the whole in my collar about the same or slightly smaller diameter than the air line, sanded the sharp edges and forced it through. Fits super snug and doesn't seem to leak cold at all.

You can buy those rubber grommets at Princess Auto.

Did you ever consider running each individual gas line through the collar/wall with the manifold outside? My set up is really cluttered inside and I find it a bit irritating when I try to move kegs in and out.

I've got my manifold mounted to the side of my collar on the inside. Works pretty well for me and means the outside of the keezer looks nice and tidy.

I'm stealing that L-bracket idea too. I was gonna get all fancy and cut 45 degree angles, but with my carpentry skills, it would take a tub of plastic wood to hide the bad cuts...

I covered the outside with oak, so I didn't see the point in making the corners 45's.

Yeah, I'm thinking of covering the collar with hardwood or tile. Its easier to drill through wood though.

It looks like you don't have a metal strip for the gasket to stick to. Do you just rely on gravity?

I do, and the hinges on that freezer are ridiculously strong, so it stays pretty tightly closed.
