did a dry run with 3 kegs (diff flavours) with just plastic thumb taps, and a piece of 3/4" melamine under all on top of the crisper for support ... love love love having it so ready and cold !!!!

... think the final project will have 3 door mounted taps though, with room inside for 6 maybe 5 kegs (depending if i keep CO2 in or not) ...
going to be a good summer

Good stuff! I've got 5 kegs plus a 20lb CO2 in my fridge, with 5 taps in the door, am very happy with my setup.

i cant wait to fund the taps, few other obstacles take priority unfortunately ....
will hold 5 & CO2 ..... or 6 if i run CO2 outside ....
AND leaves a perfectly good freezer for her goodies, as the fridge in a travel trailer although smaller, uses quite a bit more energy to run

maybe a heads up, when kegs are full, thats a lot of weight on the drawers. you may need to reinforce it a bit. I dont know, I went with a deep freeze with temp controller. Just something to ponder about.

that was why i put the 3/4" melamine on the tempered glass and left the crisper drawers in there ... thought about that

You may want a temp controller anyway, or put it in a timer and experiment to get your serving temp.

yea, there is a piece of 1/8" tempered glass under it ... didn't want to chance breaking it, so i put the melamine on top of it ...

When I had a kegerator built out of a fridge, I took out the entire bottom and just build a false wood one. (literally like 5 legs and a blank of wood)
Once that was in there I had kegs, co2 and bottles stacked, never worried about it again.

I did the same. I was a bit leery having three full kegs and C02 sitting on the shelf that came with the fridge, even with something else on top of it.
