I'm just planning on jamming an orange carboy cap over the opening on the keg. If I could get something similar to the brewershardware.com design for about half the price (or less), I'd probably be all over it. I'd love to have an NPT port that I could screw a corny connection onto to pressurize for closed transfers.Dirt Chicken wrote:I looked at the sanke conversion Kits on the website, in for 80 dollars plus shipping do you think this is something that someone within our group could make, and maybe even improve upon the design?

I have started a design with a try-clover and Teflon "lid" with a liquid and gas port but haven't finished it.jeffsmith wrote:I'm just planning on jamming an orange carboy cap over the opening on the keg. Does this mean we need a group buy for sashes to sew these onto? And will wearing sashes be mandatory at meetings/gatherings?Dirt Chicken wrote:I am that person, lets talk about it at Tim's place tonight!HPhunter wrote:I'm still working on my Drinking Badge.
Somebody with some artistic ability needs to jump on this and draw it up!

I'd be interested in seeing both of those. I've got 3 50L sankes here that I'm going to start using as fermenters.
I got them for $11 from Purity Stainles. I can Pick some up for you.jeffsmith wrote:Thanks Sandy—I think after seeing how I like the kegs as fermenters, I may have to put in an order to get some tri-clamp gear and do a bit of modifying…
Clamp and gasket only.jeffsmith wrote:Is the $11 for the cap, clamp and gasket?
Sandy i also would be interested in converting an extra sanke into a 10gal fermenter!GAM wrote:Clamp and gasket only.jeffsmith wrote:Is the $11 for the cap, clamp and gasket?
I cut a teflon disc and will cut the "ports" in that.
