Yet another keezer

Started building out a keezer this weekend. 2x4 collar trimmed out with 1x5 oak. Taps should arrive tomorrow. It's a pretty small freezer, but it'll hold 3 kegs with room for a carboy or a 2.5 gallon keg on the hump if needed.

Just finishing work left now really.

Looks great. What taps are you going with?

Perlick 525SS, 3 of them. Figured it would be worth it to just lay out the extra cash now.

Looks great, Jeff!

I have 4 525SS taps installed on my kegerator and love them. IMHO, they are worth the extra coin!

Got er finished up today. Pretty small freezer, but easily fits four kegs. Thinking about picking up a couple of 2.5 gallon ones as well as they'll fit well on the compressor hump.

No, I'm using a Johnson A19. That spot on the lid is where the stock handle was. I have a routered oak handle that will be going there eventually.

Looking good Jeff.
Hey the kid looks an awful lot like you, you related?
Won't be long before you'll be needing locks for those taps.

Yeah, already considering those locks. If he's like me when I was young, I'll definitely need 'em.

At least he'll be drinking the good stuff, and at home, within flying slipper distance.

And without locks on there, he will be popular with his buds.

It's old as dirt, but I think it's a Woods. Was white, but my BIL painted it black.

Looks good. Will soon be starting my own build shortly so I was just wondering where you ordered the perlicks from and what size of shank? Also how do you find them as I'm reading a lot of mixed reviews on them for threading on to the shank.

You shouldn't have any issues threading faucets onto shanks.

Perlicks came from Ontariobeerkegs, they were already threaded on the shanks. Can't remember the length of the shanks OTOH.

Did you get the line and oetiker clamps from OBK? I'm on the fence on doing them over SS stepped clamps. Also do toy recall what size you're running?

The beer line and oetiker clamps were already on the tailpieces when they arrived from OBK. The add a tap package comes with everything put together.
