Looking for Home Brewing Equipment

Post by AndyBurgs » Thu Jun 14, 2018 2:38 pm

Hello All,

Myself along with my friend, titosbrewing are looking into experimenting with some home brewing equipment and recipes.

Wondering if anyone out there has a set that they've moved on from or willing to part with?

Also, is there any simple DIY mods that you can do to a home kit that either helps with the production or quality?

Any information or tips and tricks for beginner brewers is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Cheers,
Andrew and Tito

Yep, Keggel, burner and I don't remember what else.

Both for $70. Get a biab from Becky and your good to go.

Sandy,

Apologies as I am very new, but can you quickly explain those and what they are used for?

Thanks,
Andrew

BIAB (brew in a bag) Take a keg that has been altered to be a pot, heat water, using propane burner, put a bag in, add grain, wait 30-60 min pull bag out and boil 30 -60 min. Chill to pitching temp. Hop additions and malt bill can vary, yeast and fermenting temp can make anything.

Come brew with me or "Anyone" and see how easy it is.

As Sandy mentioned, Happy to host you on the next brew day. I have a BIAB setup and it’s quite straightforward.
