Plastic flavours leech from vynil tubing?

Post by Yeastcoaster » Tue Jan 16, 2018 1:42 am

I built my own kegerator and mounted the taps on the door. I put 6ft of vynil tubing off the kegs to the taps for pressure drop and smoothness to the pour. The downside is (ithink) I'm getting a plastic flavour to my beers. If i pour off a half glass then pull another life is great. Anyone use a tubing other than vynil? I have seen bev seal on other forums but I can't find a seller in hrm.

I use the beer line from Everwood and never noticed any off flavors from it. It is bevlex 200 which i believe is polyethylene.
