The only reason I have the fiddle block with cam cleat is because I bought a small used sailboat a while ago to fix up and sell. There was an extra one with the boat.
Anything to do with sailboats is expensive but if you look around you should be able to find a cheap one. The auto locking cam cleat makes holding the bag at any height a snap. Just yank it into the cleat and it locks in place, another quick snap releases it. try kijij and used boat shops or even ebay.

I wonder if MEC might have something there....
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Couldn't get much simpliar than a cam cleat. I grabs the rope and keeps it from slipping

Still pricey though
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Good idea. Just put the cam cleat on the tripod, or whatever you have, and use a regular small block and tackle or single pulley.
Cool!

Mounted on a 2x6 and mounted to the lift structure (clamped or screwed).

Sandy
I finally got these last week, what a difference from the old rope and pulley!. Lifting the grain bag is now a one handed job, makes using a wall mounted cleat pretty easy.
Thanks for the tip GAM. :cheers2:
