custom drip tray

Hey guys. I'm looking for some ideas on how to make a drip tray for a slightly rounded front door on my kegerator (circa 1950's fridge).
I'm thinking its going to be sheet metal with bending and cutting involved, but I'd like to get some different ideas on the subject. Especially since my ideas have a history of being shitty lol

lmfao, I think you're probably on the right track. Not much else you can do than curve the metal to match the door.

Alright then I guess there's nothin left to do but get down to it. When its done (some day) I'll post pictures up on here. It's functioning right now, but only has 1/4 taps installed. They're expensive what can I say. lol.

Yeah if I had any experience with drip trays I'd offer my two cents. But I dont hahs

lol well we'll see what I can come up with. building the pan might be easier than finding something suitable for a cover. I'll need something with slots or holes in it that I can cut to shape.

A friend made one from a metal paint roller tray. It looked better than he could have done from scratch.

I used a decorative plenum register cover and a little wood working. Got the register cover from homedepot put a little plastic in the bottom and sealed it. I got the idea from somewhere else but I don't remember where.

What plastic did you line it with? Looks really good.

I have to admit that right now it is just folded over saran wrap and its been that way for a couple years and works just fine but I do have have a piece of plexi glass and the silicone just waiting and when I have a spare moment I will be putting that in the bottom. The register cover actually has a solid "box" underneath that just needs a bottom.

I saw one recently that may fall into your $hitty category. The front of the fridge, older like yours? had a regular tray on the front and the guy used spacers to fill the gap.. spacers were ss washers. worked fine. Just a thought
