Re: Growing hops
Can the rhizomes be split-up like Irises?

Re: Growing hops
I’d certainly trade you a few bottles per piece! I’ve always wanted to try growing my own. I have wine grapes and cider apples so why not hops too eh? Had planned to grow them up the guide wires of my power poles.

Re: Growing hops
I bought some hop rhizomes last year but they didn't take, at all. I want to try again this spring. Are there hop rhizomes available from the community here?

Re: Growing hops
Hey all,
I have a rhizome that I started last year.
I have it in a pot and was wondering when I should place it back outside in the sun?
Thanks

Re: Growing hops
So, I was gifted some hop plants last year. No idea what type. The A.A. is very low (or was last year), and in investigating it seems most likely I have Crystal OR Czech Saaz. It's very hardy. I believe Saaz isn't supposed to be easy to grow (??), so I am leaning towards it being Crystal. Does anyone have any knowledge about our region's ability to grow each of these to help me ID this hop?
EDIT: It might be this. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/ha ... ps.244309/
Here's a pic from last year. (I have read that Czech Saaz has a red vine as well) ???
