OG: 1.048
FG: 1.010
IBU: 24
SRM: 8
ABV: 5.29%

Recipe was for 12 gallons.

Grains:
20.25 lb CM Pils (85%)
2 lb Light Munich (8%)
1 lb Dark Munich (4%)
.75 lb Special W (3%)
.67 lb Liquid Malt Extract (for starter, pitched whole) (3%)

Hops:
2.4 oz Spalt (60 minutes)
.75 oz Styrian Goldings (15 minutes)
.75 Spalt (flameout)

Water:
Dartmouth tap water, adjusted with .5g gypsum, 0.2g calcium chloride, per gallon.

Yeast:
Wyeast 1214 Belgian Abbey, started in 0.67 lb liquid malt extract and pitched whole.

Three vessel mash, with single decoction (138 - 154), because I missed my mash temperature. Oops.

Pitched around 66 or so, I'm planning on bringing the temperature up in a few days, but not by much. I'll probably let it go for three weeks or so and then bottle condition it.

Mine was way under carbonated but other than that I liked it. Belgian styles are starting to grow on me. Good job Martin!

I used Wyeast 1214 in a dubbel that I brewed just over a year ago. I got a big banana nose on that dubbel which isn't in this beer, which is a good thing. I still am not fully sold on this yeast but this beer was very quaffable. Thanks!

My bottle was quite undercarbed as well. That said, there's some tasty stuff going on and I find it extremely drinkable. Thanks!

Deep amber. Thin and quickly dissipating head. Carbonation on mine was also a bit low for this style of beer. Nose is aromatic with spice and fruity phenols. Good body. Banana with a bit of bubble gum and a little bit of spicy character. Very tasty beer. Thanks Andrew!

Lightly carbed. It is lager-like. A bit yeasty. Good Ale!!
