Black IPA

Shared a bottle of this last night at the monthly meeting.
22L batch
Grains
5.0kg Canadian 2-row
0.46kg Special B
0.45kg Special Roast
0.45kg Carafa Special II
0.3kg Malted Wheat
Hops
60min 21g Simcoe 13.3% AA
20min 11g Simcoe + 14g Falconer's Flight 10.8% AA
10min 21g Citra 12.5% AA
5min 11g Simcoe + 14g Falconer's Flight
1min 21g Amarillo 8.8% AA
Dry Hop 56g Amarillo for 14 days
Yeast
Wyeast 1056 American Ale
Infusion mash at 67C for 60min. Batch sparge at 77C. Boil for 75 min. I let this sit in primary for 2 weeks and secondary for 2 weeks. Didn't write down the carbonation level I was aiming for when I bottled.

FG: 1.014
ABV: 7%
IBU: ~74
This is a fairly roasty black IPA and the hop character is there but it is not overly strong. I quite like it but next time I might trim down the specialty malts and amp up the hops a little bit more, particularly with more flavour hops. I think I just threw in the Special B because I had it left over after brewing a Dubbel. It probably doesn't quite fit and I would probably swap it for more 2-row next time.
