Stout

I'm looking to make a stout in the next few weeks. I've been leaning toward something like a Guiness clone and I've found a few that look decent. But does anybody have a good "go to" recipe for a stout? Doesn't have to be Irish stout, just anything that's good. Thanks.
Steve

The dry stout from BCS is a good base recipe.

Yeah, that's a good place to start AFAIAC.

I've made this one a few times. Very simple and not grain intensive.

Just going from memory, but that looks very similar to the BCS recipes.

I started a thread called “Black Gold – How can I brew the Guinness” on my old BIAB site. It’s an international site and there are posts from an Irish barman on why the Guinness there is so good. If you have the time you might find something useful in there. Dispensing with nitrogen seems to be an important thing. Does anyone do that here?
