First IPA

ipa gold

Original Gravity (OG): 1.046
Colour (SRM): 8.5
Bitterness (IBU): 64.0

90.91% American 2-Row
9.09% Crystal 60

1.6 g/l Columbus (11.1% Alpha) @ 90 Minutes (Boil)
1.2 g/l Cascade (5.9% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes (Boil)
1.2 g/l Cascade (5.9% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Boil)

Single step Infusion at 66°C for 60 Minutes. Boil for 90 Minutes

Fermented at 20°c with American ale 11
This is my first attempt at an ipa, wish me luck :rockin:
Drinking: Red Hook clone

I think you're a bit light on the og. I'd like 1.056...

Yes understand now, we shall see I used 4.5 kg 2row and 450g crystal. Someone sent me this to try and said it was very good

Was that the og and ibus they also had? Seems a bit out of balance to me

Ya same, said it was gold medal. Shes done now though . og right on at 1046, but piss me off there was a lot of corruption that I dumped 2-3 liters. Maybe I should have just dumped it in fermentor. Golden ale next with some amarillo.
