Looks good. Is this for the Garrison thing?

It was going to be, but I couldn't swing it in time. But I'm brewing it anyway while my basement is at lager temperature. This is the yeast I will be using:

Wyeast 2252-PC Rasenmäher Lager Yeast
Beer Styles: Light American Lager, Munich Helles, Vienna Lager, Classic American Pilsner
Profile: This versatile lager strain is an excellent choice for brewing your favorite low alcohol lawnmower beer. Fermentations at low temperatures will produce clean lagers that accentuate the malt character of the beer. At high temperatures this strain maintains much of the lager character, but will also yield a mild ester profile that compliments hop aromas and flavors.

Alc. Tolerance 9% ABV
Flocculation low
Attenuation 73-77%
Temp. Range 48-68°F (9-20°C)

Oh yeah, I guess 2 weeks is a little soon. Looks like an interesting yeast. I just went with the regular Wyeast czech pils yeast (2278).

This is an older VSS I had hanging around. Used it on my cereal beer. Going to make a bit of a starter, and then I think I'll have enough for 10 gallons.

Well, I just got around to tapping this one tonight, and I think it's better than any of the 4 I had at the Garrison event. Decoction made it good.

Wow, that's quite the lagering! What did you like about it? What was better than the comp beers?

I thought the garrison beers had too much raisin-like flavour which I found odd, or were too thin.

I don't remember raisin (I agree that would be strange) in the ones I tried, and I know ours didn't have any, but I did find them all (and mine) to be thinner than I'd like.
How about roast level in yours? I'm not sure my feeling on roast. I think mine was at the high end of what it should be, but all of my non-craft-beer-drinking buddies absolutely loved it (coffee beer, they were calling it).

I thought mine was on the high end as well. I've got a bottled German version that I'm going to do a comparison with today.
