This is a beer for a bitter cold night. This thing is thick as pnt butter and flavour lasts forever. Massive chocolate and coffee on both aroma and flavour. Really smooth and balanced. alcohol is warning but not hot. Really Solid brew Brad.

My bottle exploded on my garage floor. The puddle tasted good, I didn't get a straw out.
Note to self: bottom shelf of fridge does not hold bottles in place

Whoa! this was a thick brew. didn't think 10% while i was drinkin' it. (on a school night, nonetheless). I was studying your grain ratio, but it doesn't math-up? either way, this brew was a GOOD DECISION! ....not used to these Scandinavian yeasts, am surprised y'got so much body in such short time. thank you for sharing!

Tons of chocolate, toffee, liquorice, and coffee in this. Definitely one to sip on slowly through the night. Had some nice alcohol warmth to it as well. Hope you kept some bottles to squirrel away because this would probably be really nice in a year or two
On tap: Hopped Mead, ESB, Schwazbier
Coming up: Altbier
Fermenting: Maibock
Planned: NEIPA, NZ Pils, Oyster Stout

Pours midnight black with a magnificent caramel head that hangs around and continues to rouse beautifully. Aroma is light floral hops, dark fruit, bit of roast and anise. It’s full body but not cloying with assertive carb tingle that carries some alcohol warmth which is dangerously smooth and certainly not hot for the abv. The taste is delicious with dark fruit, anise, a bit of toffee and the presiding roast with chocolate and coffee dualing in the shadows. There is maybe a touch of citrus or esters perhaps from the kveik.
A great deceivingly dangerous beer, (on a Wednesday night no less ) that if it were a cold winter night would be perfect by a fireplace.
The only thing I would say that could elevate this is bourbon barrel ageing
Well done and thanks for sharing this furious delight!

Seriously, this is so smooth and complex without being overwhelming. Really respect what you did here.

My two bottles broke also. Can I get them replaced also please!?
Just kidding, they were intact, and friggin' delicious. Head for days. Perfect level of roastiness. I'm only furious that they are gone.
And I agree that a barrel-aged version would be EPIC. Thanks for such a great beer!
