Notes:
This was the second beer I brewed on my Grainfather. I am somewhat shocked at the actual vs est OG on the Grainfather as I was consistently within 3 SG of target on my old turkey fryer BIAB setup.
One mistake I made on the first 2 batches was dumping the entire sparge water heater, but I later found out that the sight glass doesn't include the deadspace so that's about 2-3L extra which accounts for some of my missed OG.
Another potential issue is that I was using Noble Grape's mill for 1/2 the grain, and my new one for the other half. I need to change the settings on mine to be a bit finer, and in the future only use it so I can be consistent.
On a more recent brew I was 5 SG short of my target on a 1.051 batch, so I'm closer. I think I just need to adjust my efficiency a bit so that my setup is calibrated.
