My recipe for this exchange is below. After brewing I stumbled upon my crystal 120 which made me realize that what I thought was the crystal 120 addition was an unlabelled bag of grain. I did not have any left over to verify what that grain addition actually was.

Mystery Dark Mild
ABV: 3.7%
IBU: 16.8
Color: 24 SRM

2.57kg Maris Otter
1.21kg Vienna
0.17kg Crystal 60
0.17kg Mystery Malt (Should have been Crystal 120)
0.13kg Carafa III
0.13kg Chocolate Malt
28g East Kent Goldings (EKG) - Boil 60 min
1 pkg Mangrove Jack's #M44

Mashed: 45 mins @ 156F
Fermented: 65F for 3 weeks
Bottled: Batch primed and bottled November 14th

Hope you all enjoy!

Delicious beer. Had to control myself to let it warm up but was rewarded by it opening up quite a bit as it warmed. I get a hint of diacetyl on the finish, but that’s within style and it works. Thanks much for this!

This one went down fast! I got hints of caramel, toffee and a bit of coffee.

Enjoyed this while bottling one of my versions of the Big Spruce comp. Good day for a dark Carmel beer. :cheers2:

Great label, tasty Dark. Shared it with a buddy and both of us enjoyed it. Cheers!

Thanks for the generous bomber bottle. It helped me cook Sunday dinner. Can't say I've ever had a mild. It's been on my brew list for a while, thinking I'll give it a gonover the holidays. Easy drinking dark English beer , what's not to like !
Kegged - Cold IPA, NEIPA, Fieldberry Wheat, Dark Abbey Ale, Apple Pear Cider, American Lager, American Stout, Belgian Wit

I love me a good mild and this was great! Very similar to the one I brew.

Much enjoyed. Light but not thin with plenty of earthy flavors. As mentioned, great label and thanks for the big bottle!

I absolutely loved this one Jeff, thanks so much! I've been into low ABV beers this past year, and this is honestly one of the best sub 4% beers I've had.

Agree with Matt - one of the best beers I've had at this lower ABV range... almost nakes me want to further explore this territory. Lots of flavour, but not thin at all, really easy drinking/sessionable. My brother loved it as well.Image
