This was delightful. I would personally have liked a little more carbonation (I’m the carb guy this year apparently), but that said it was probably fine stylistically. Plenty of nice malt notes and a lingering bitterness that invited another sip, exactly the way it should be. Would love to try a version of this with 50/50 Maris Otter to Pils. But it’s absolutely a tasty beer as it is. Thanks for the share!

One question: the bottle said 4.9% and the recipe above says 4.1. Were the labels printed before you knew the FG or did it attenuate a little more than expected?

Oh, this is a good one. Full and malty, but with plenty of bitterness and enough earthy hops to keep it interesting.

Thanks for the comments! I personally agree that I'd like a bit more carbonation. Our labels were printed before we knew the FG and we based the ABV on the last time we brewed this recipe. Oops! :)

Enjoyed this. Little low on carb as mentioned but overall very drinkable. Would have more. Thanks for the share!

I thought so (at least inasmuch as it didn’t taste overattenuated to me). I think 4ish% is ideal for the style. Plenty of body, plenty of flavor, super drinkable, and sessionable besides. Right now I’m wishing I had another!

This is a fantastic pint of bitter. I am going to take a slightly unpopular opinion and say I am happy with the carbonation level.

I’ll agree with that, I liked the carbonation level where it was.

Finally got around to drinking this - while finally playing Portal 2, now that I have a decent PC to play it on.

Very tasty, nice malt base, easy drinking. Happy to have a bomber of it! Carb was spot on got me. Thanks for the beer!Image
