This exchange started off really well! This beer is really hitting the spot tonight. Poured with a nice frothy white head, good carbonation, maybe a tad low but I poured it pretty heavy. Lots of citrus zest and what I consider the perfect amount of coriander. I'm not getting the peppercorns yet, maybe after it warms up a bit. Thanks!
edit: as it warms up those peppercorns are coming through and are very nice.

Thanks Adam. The Szechuan peppers are not so much of a flavor as a numbing/tingle sensation which brightens the other essences.
Cheers!

Yup really enjoyed this, just finished the bottle. I was actually really getting a pepper flavour from it which was pretty cool. I wasn’t getting a ton of coriander which I am good with. Lots of almost a sweet candied orange on mine as well. Really nice start to the month! Good Job Jeramy.

Quite tasty. Oddly enough it reminded me of a Thai Wheat beer that I made a couple of years back. Guessing that it is the combination of hops that gave it that flavour.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I liked this a lot, and I'm not a big wheat beer drinker. I find the coriander somewhat dominant over the citrus and that's the way I like it. Nice soft pillowy mouthfeel but still a quite dry finish. And the way the peppercorns come creeping across the palate 15-45 seconds after swallowing is amazing. It never overwhelms, it never gets in the way, but you can’t drink this beer and ignore it.

What a great way to start.
Fantastic carbonation, with a very thin head that lasted to the bottom of the glass. Typical wit aromas. Lovely colour. I loved the peppercorns. I found the coriander a bit much for me, but not detrimental.
Thanks for a great beer!

Really enjoyed this. Great head retention, slightly low carbonation for the style which gave it a cool silky mouthfeel. Szechuan was subtle and blended really well with the coriander and yeast, delicious kickoff for December.

Very good. No trouble sensing the peppers, but as already noted was subtle and not overwhelming.

A great tasting beer. Perfect head retention. To me the zest really shows up in the end as a bright bitterness. I get clove character as well, not usually given off from Belgian Wit yeast so I wonder if that flavour is coming from the peppercorns. All in all a very balanced, easy drinking wheat beer with some aroma and flavour complexity that goes well with the cold weather. Thanks for sharing

Well done sir. Nice aroma. I got the pepper on the end and just enough. I like spicey but not in beer. This has just the right balance. Again , well done!

Great kick-off to December! I didn't pick up the peppercorn, but that could be because it didn't last long enough to warm up... Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the comments and especially to Jeff for the scoresheet, glad to hear it was enjoyed. It's a beer I will likely make again, perhaps for the summer.
Cheers!

Opened this last night and poured it in a glass, the aroma filled the whole room. Really nice yeast character, soft body, really big head. Can't say I specifically got black pepper out of it but a really solid wit overall

This was really great. I never heard of schezwan peppercorns before - though one of my favourite meals of all time is a szhezwan-style crispy beef from Mekong restaurant in Ottawa (seriously, try it if you're ever in the area). But anway, back to the beer...
Not a big witbier fan, but this is definitely among the best I've had. Perfect amount of pepper, definitely makes its presence known, but not at all overpowering. Everything else about it was nice too - malt, carb, appearance (nice label) - thanks again for sharing!

I got to this on Wednesday night, after being out of province. I thought this was great, and had no problem drinking the whole bottle. The peppercorn was nice, but I'm glad that it wasn't more prominent.

Sorry for the late post. I'm playing catch-up on beers and feedback. I loved the lemony-coriander flavours with the zingy citrussy nip from the Sechuan peppercorns. Carbonation was epic. very effervescent and nicely dry.
A fantastic beer to kick the holiday seachuon off!
Thank you!
