PA recipe

Post by kenny10 » Tue Apr 22, 2014 12:12 pm

Going to make an easy drinking PA with a tropical twist this weekend . This is the first time using honey malt and unsure how much I should use...was going to use honey but think its a waste. Wondering if I should swap out crystal 30 for 60. The hops I have chosen should give me the tropical feel Im looking for but any tips would be great.

Malts
80% 2-row
13% Vienna
3.5% honey malt
3.5% crystal 30

Hops
0.5 oz Nuggent FWH-35ibu
1 oz El Dorado -18ibu
1 oz Citra @ flameout

Yeast- S-05

Dry hop 1oz of both Eldorado and Citra for 5 days

Recipe looks ok, but .5 oz for 35 ibu does not look right.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:
