Interesting recipe, it seem like the pils and carapils amounts are flipped from what I'd expect to see though I've never made a lager myself. Is there a reason for that?

I don't think you could make a beer out of only carapils, or even a high percentage. IIRC it is highly unfermentable.

I think you have them swithc in your recipe you're showning :?
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

You're right, d'oh. Fixed. Glad somebody reads this stuff. Obviously, I didn't weigh those grains out like that.

Kegged and bottled this one up yesterday. Finished at 80% AA, a bit higher than the 70% I was looking for. Tastes pretty good though.

Well, it's been a long time since those carboys were in the snow, and although I did bottle and drink a few, this is the first keg to be tapped. Still tasting great, although the head has been disappearing quickly. Might be that I need to clean my lines after kicking the last keg...
