American Stout

Post by erslar00 » Tue Sep 18, 2012 10:05 pm

I'm going to do a double batch of this American Stout based on the recipe from BCS on Friday night.

target O.G. 1.072
target F.G. 1.017

13.6 KG American two-row
900 g. black roasted barley (500 L)
680 g. Chocolate malt (420 L)
680 g. Crystal 40

Hops:

40 g fuggles - 90 mins
28 g cascade - 5 mins

Yeast: WLP090 San Diego Super Yeast

Any concerns? :cheers3:

I've made that recipe before and it's good. I think the latest version used some c-120. I normally use a higher aa bittering hop.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:
