I had some carbonation issues so I had to pop the tops and drop in some carb tabs last Saturday. Not ideal but I was in a bind. Most have dissolved but some will still need the occasional swirl.

Please leave them at room temperature until a couple days before the 26th.

Go ahead and toss this one in the fridge. On the verge of over carbonated depending on where you had it (warmer/cooler) so be prepared if it gushes. Some carb tab floaters too.

The rest of the batch that was kegged tasted a lot better and I'm wondering if when I popped the tops to add some carb tabs it might have botched it a bit.

Yup. I had a gusher. Didn't refrigerate it enough. But what didn't go down the sink was excellent! Cheers!

Slightly gushed. Some floaties like the previous beer done with carb drops. Very light brown. Biscuity and pine on the nose. Malt a bit stronger than the hop flavours. Nice bitterness. Picking up more citrus as I sip on this. I quite like it. Thanks!

I've been looking forward to trying this one as I've had this recipe on my to-brew list for a while. It's a very nice beer. I like the combination of American hops with the brown malt bill. Mine was just about to start gushing but I caught it; I also nabbed a fruit fly out of the head, but I squeezed the beer out of it :D I could drink a bunch of this. Thanks!!

Great American brown ale. Nice malt flavors along with great hop aromas.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
