Hey Guys,
I'm heading to Toronto this week.
I'm just wondering where the best spot is to pick up craft beer?
Also any good suggestions as to which ones to grab while there? ?
Cheers
Todd

Which area of Toronto? What type of beer do you like? If you can find C'est What and Bar Volo I'd sample ones you might like to try. I always grab a few different types of Beaus All Natural Brewing. They are out of Vankleek Hill outside Ottawa but have a nice selection. When I'm in TO I always try to find something hoppy from Great Lakes Brewing. The options in Ontario are endless.

I like everything... wanna get some sours ... and maybe some maltier style beer...
I'm assuming most of the LCBO'S prob carry a decent selection?
Going to be in Etobicoke and downtown area...

Check out Bellwoods Brewery if you get a chance. They have an extensive barrel-aging program including some sours. I believe the taproom opens at 4 most days and has a good selection of fresh stuff as well as some vintage or special bottles. The attached bottle shop usually has ~8-10 different beers to take away in bottles when I've been there.
Volo is great too.

As mentioned, Bellwoods and Amsterdam are good spots to visit, and both have bottle shops.
LCBOs are OK, the Yonge and Summerhill location is pretty decent.
I use Ratebeer's mapping to help find good spots. Here's a map of Toronto, you can drag and zoom to find the area you'll be in.

Lots of great bars to enjoy while there, of course.

A lot of the LCBOs have great selection. Steer clear of the Beer Store. If you go onto the LCBO website you can search by style and then check availability at various locations. Can guide your shopping.
