Bermuda, Atlantic Ocean

I have been exiled to Bermuda for 10 days a month since October for work.

The first decent beer I found was from the only micro/craft brewery on the island: Dockyard Brewing Company, located in, you guessed it the historic, royal navy dockyard. http://www.frogandonion.bm/index.html

They brew a Porter, an Amber, a wheat and an English style IPA. All are decent and the wheat is IMO the best example of the style. This is the IPA in the 56oz glass (that's not a child's hand and you get to keep the glass)

made for a fun scooter ride back...

Dockyard beer can be found on site at the brewery's Frog & Onion Pub in the Royal Navy Dockyard or in Hamilton at the Hog Penny, Barracuda Grill or Pickled Onion Pub..that I know of so far

There is Guinness Foreign Extra in most of the markets and convenience stores (and tennents, bud, coors, elephant, Amstel etc..)

I became bored quickly and searched ratebeer and found Miles Market: a high end and expensive little grocery store in downtown Hamilton:

This is now my source of beer: a constantly changing selection of craft beers: North Coast, Samuel Smith, Victory, Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, Clown Shoes, Dogfish Head, Dark Horse Brewing, Brooklyn Brewery..just off the top of my head

Lots of fresh produce and gourmet cheeses and foods available at Miles as well.

Poor you

I love that place. I went there when I was 14, much too young to enjoy the beer at the Frog & Onion.

Hi Becik..no coasters and I have one glass from Frog and Onion. During my last visit I was on a scooter tour and saw a sign for "Notrth Rock Brewing". I piled on the brakes and swung in but it was no longer in business and had been absorbed by Dockyard. The pub did have some bottled Samuel Smith beers I hadn't had yet so I did stay.

Or company is doing quarterly visits now and a senior staff member offered to go this month. I'm not jealous because I hate the heat!
I should return in the fall.

cheers!

New seasonal at Dockyard: Black IPA
Pretty porter like roasty, but also very bitter with what seems like a blend of uk and american hops...

nice
