Plan on being there. Have no Rye IPA to contribute, but can bring some food, snacks, etc? Also are we doing $$/head to cover the burgers/etc?

I have 2 Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye IPA I'll take so we can have a baseline.

Excellent on the beers. I think $5/person should cover the food. I think just me to arrange the food will keep everything simple.

Are you looking for non-rye brews for the rye tasting as well?

You can take anything you like. I'll have a couple beers on tap other than the rye IPAs.

Anybody in the Tantallon/Timberlea/Clayton Park area heading to the tasting interested in carpooling? I'm cool with driving in but need a way back ( :drunk: :headbang: ). Up for splitting a cab, etc as well.

So Rye Tasting meeting, what are we thinking timing wise..

Something like; majority of folks arrive early to mid afternoon, tasting late afternoon, grub to follow around early evening.

Or something else entirely?

Anybody up for making a full day/night of it by heading to RB afterwords?

That sounds like a reasonable plan, although the food timing is the biggest issue. Don't want people hungry.

Precisely why I was asking 8-) Didn't want to eat lunch and find food served up as I arrived. So folks can just plan on eating lunch based on above 'plan'.

We could also get a few apps/snack responsibilities divided up for late afternoon?

I was planning on eating lunch before heading over so that sounds like a good plan to me!

I was planning on around 2:00. Is that too late/early?

Sandy, 2:00 sounds early/mid afternoon to me, should work out dandy.

Vgoreham, I'm heading in from Timberlea (looking like the bus right now.. last day of free buses, ha).

I'm driving in from Cole Harbour and can fit three people comfortably, or four cramped. However, I probably won't be staying the entire time (probably leaving after the tasting), so people may want to find their own way back.

Yeah, bus is a good option. I'm not sure of the addy, so I wasn't sure how practical that was. Could someone PM it to me, perhaps?

Edit: Thanks X. For some reason I thought you lived in Spryfield like seemingly everyone else who posts here a lot :)

I'll be there, probably solo, could pick up folks living between Spryfield and the Forum. I won't have time to make anything, but will bring cash, beer, and some store-bought snacks. No Mexican Rye beers that I could find.

I'll get the buns at SS. Costco only had the triangular type. But if anyone wants to bring anything at all, fill yer boots. Keep in mind that the bacon burgers will be taken care of, with a side of carrot salad and potato salad.
