I made it through the first round. That is an accomplishment on its own, since I never brew the style. That being said, I thought it tasted, smelled and looked pretty good.

I'm pleasantly surprised I made it through to round 2, was kind of thinking mine was a bit oxidized so I'm happy that it must have otherwise been alright.

I didnt make the cut either but this being my first competition I'm not surprised. I was hoping to get my judging cards for feedback I hope they send them out because I wont be able to make the gala and feedback was the main reason I entered.

I also didn’t make it. I’m thoroughly enjoying the beer as an IPA, but it doesn’t have that pillowy mouthfeel that the NEIPA style requires. Definitely learned some things about minimizing oxygen exposure that I’ll use again too.

Same for me, it was a nice change from my normal brewing, learned a few things and narrowed down a few kinks I can still work on next time. I think dry hopping would be the next stage I try to eliminate oxygen from the equation.
