However, I thankfully do enjoy both of my beer, cause I have a lot of it to drink!

A strike-out here too. Mine is growing on me, I didn't like it initially.

I am also not in the top four, for the fourth year in a row. Oh well, I'll find it a good home.

I got the rejection email too. For folks with multiple entries, did you get an email for each rejected entry?chalmers wrote:A strike-out here too. Mine is growing on me, I didn't like it initially.

I got my rejection email, still waiting to hear on JT and Anne though.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: Garrison's 2012 Ultimate Brew-off Challenge
I just got another email from Garrison saying that the FOAD email does indeed apply to all 3 SAAZ entries.
I had high hopes for these beers this year. I wouldn't be surprised if brewing cost is a factor in the judging.

I wouldn't be surprised if every single thing other than how the beer tastes is a factor....
That's why we're doing our own on the 31st.

Re: Garrison's 2012 Ultimate Brew-off Challenge
I had a good chat one time with Daniel about the process and it's completely blind to them. The entries are a number and they only look at the final four names and recipes after they are choosen. When I was dropping off my samples this year he wouldn't come near me, I had to go over and talk to him cause he didn't want to see what my bottles looked like just in case.akr71 wrote:I just got another email from Garrison saying that the FOAD email does indeed apply to all 3 SAAZ entries.

That's too bad. I thought we had three pretty solid entries. Really surprised that your solo brew didn't make it in to be honest.akr71 wrote:I just got another email from Garrison saying that the FOAD email does indeed apply to all 3 SAAZ entries.

Remember to bring a few of your beers if you have any left, we'd like them for the 31st. I'm still working on how to drop them off.
