Hi everyone.

I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to you all for supporting the Black Box Challenge.
We judged all the entries last night. It was a gruelling four hour session but very enjoyable.

All the entries were very good. The level of quality of the submissions is the highest we've seen since we started this competition, which made it extremely difficult to pick the finalists.

The finalists beers are (in no particular order):

"Oh Snap!" - American Brown Ale with Ginger Tea

"Atypical Wheat" - "American" style wheat

"Chubby Unicorn" - Brown IPA

"Baby Whale" - Specialty IPA

"Bursted IPA" - American IPA

"Oat of This World" - Oatmeal Stout

Congratulations to the finalists. Please now, prepare your presentations for Sunday's final judging. Remember, your presentation counts towards 20% of your final score, so be creative! And please try to stick to the time limit of seven minutes.

Everything gets started at 12:15 this Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Stillwell Beer Bar, 1672 Barrington Street in Halifax.

Everyone is invited, whether or not you made the finals - come on down and share a drink or two with your home-brew peers, and come and watch the presentations. Heckling may or may not be tolerated.

I own 2 guitars but can't even play the radio and I've never presented my beer before aside from saying "here...try this!". Now I'm afraid.
