Anyone doing the Gahan comp (witbier or weisbeer)? What about Big Spruce? (Best Bitter)?

I am doing both but haven't heard/seen much from folks about brewing much of anything at all... I also really missed the decembeer exchange. Are people still brewing im general?

I'm putting a couple of entries into the Big Spruce competition with my son-in-law again. I've not had good experiences with the Gahan comp and witbier/weisbeer don't float my boat enough to bother with that one.

Good luck with your entries! My best bitter turned our pretty good I think... I sure dont brew that style often, but might have to start.

The Gahan competition has gotten more organized and the feedback is much better than in the past. The prize is pretty great also... but I get it if the style isn't your thing.

I’ll be entering the Gahan comp, and hoping lots of others do to so we have some good competition! Even if the styles aren’t your favourite it’s a good opportunity to show off your skills and get some feedback. A fresh well made witbier/weissbier is a great thing if you haven’t had one before. Unless you’re worried you don’t have what it takes (hoping this comes across as friendly chirping). Great prizes too as others have mentioned.
