Beerland on Viceland - Call for homebrew applicants
I was contacted by a producer at VICELAND, Vice Media's television network. They are gearing up for the third season of Beerland, a homebrew competition series that dives into unique craft beer communities.
Rachael's email address is rachael.knudsen@vice.com, and I suggest checking out an episode or two to get an idea of the show before applying: https://www.viceland.com/en_us/show/beerland.
Here is what Rachael wanted me to pass along:
I'm reaching out because we might be filming in the area early next year and are looking for outgoing homebrewers interested in applying for the series. If chosen, the participants have the opportunity to win $10,000 and their beer packaged and distributed in collaboration with Golden Road Brewing.
Below is the questionnaire we ask all applicants to fill out and email back ASAP. We try as much as possible to film outside of the typical places most homebrewers congregate: ie – backyards/bars/breweries/etc.. So when filling out the below, everyone should think outside of the box and tell us what makes his/her (and the beer) unique and try to share unexpected places or events we could see him/her share homebrew with our host.
Name, Age and a few photos
Occupation?
City, Province?
Years brewing?
Why do you brew?
What brews might you have ready early in 2018?
Any unique ingredients or brew techniques?
Where do you DRINK your brew? Unique locations/events/gatherings etc? (Outside of just bars/breweries/homes)
What makes you YOU? What other hobbies outside of beer, lively activities you do (that you might bring a beer to!)
How has homebrewing impacted your life/family/community?
Outside of your beer tasting great, why should we choose you to be featured on Beerland?

I’m guessing floating in circles in my backyard pool isn’t a unique beer drinking setting?

If you do it at -20C, that might fit the bill.

Sent an email; would be cool to get them to film at the Stillwell Open—especially if a homebrewer wins again!

So if you win you get to brew a beer with AB InBev (Golden Road)?
Premise of the show sounds great, but Meg Gill is rather boring.....
