OBK Order

Post by Keith » Tue Nov 25, 2014 7:57 am

Hey All,
I'm placing a order from OBK for some more Vermont and Funktown yeast. I'm hoping to place the order tonight, so if anyone wants any yeast, please let me know.
In total to take advantage of free shipping we need to order 12 vials, Erin's getting me a new burner for Christmas, so I'm going to restock some yeast while I can.

I thought there was a maximum order of 2 per customer, or has that changed Keith?

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Would you consider throwing one of these brew pumps on the order as well?

Looking to start whirlpooling onto my pot and I don't see getting a much better deal than that.

OBK just posted on facebook they will be selling 11lb bags of hops to clear out inventory. I'm going to grab a few of the common varieties once they are posted.

I'll be grabbing 11lbs of the following, and we can split them up later if anyone is interested. If not I'm brewing a lot of hoppy beers.
Falconers flight, Cascade, Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe and Galena if available and the prices are right.

I'd be interested in a pound of Citra and maybe FF.

hops are now starting to go online. 11lbs of wilamette for $82.39. I'm grabbing a bag. Can't beat $7.50 a lb. I'm going to grab a bunch of common hops and we can figure it out later. These are all nitro sealed bags from Hop Union or directly from Germany.

I've placed the order for everything in here and am placing orders for hops as I reach the free shipping mark of $200.

I've started a separate thread for the hops (all nitro flushed hop union bags) and will work out the logistics and spreadsheet after.

Just to clarify all our hops are Nitrogen flushed. Just like Hopunion. We own the same machine and use the same process as Hopunion for our smaller amounts. Basically just breaking down large 11 and 44 bales on demand.
