Occupy The Foggy Goggle - A Tap Takeover

Post by Propeller Brewing » Wed Jun 06, 2012 12:10 pm

On June 16th at 5pm The Foggy Goggle will be clearing all of their tap lines to be able to show off 10 Propeller beers. All the regular brews from Propeller will be on tap as well as One Hit Wonders. We are also hoping to have a special Cask Ale for this as well (but I can't promise that yet ;)) http://www.facebook.com/events/473351169348482/

Help us show Halifax that all you need is craft beer on tap at bars and restos!

Come alone, bring your friends, ask your colleagues to join you,
help make this event as memorable as possible!

Come early to avoid disappointments.

Here is a list of beers as supplied by brewery:

IPA
Pilsener
Extra Special Bitter
London Style Porter
Pale Ale
Honey Wheat Ale

One Hit Wonders;
2xIPA
Munich Style Dark Lager
Spring Bock

Very tempting. Anyone else interested in hitting it up? Especially interested in the One Hits.

I'll be away that Saturday.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I'll be in the backwoods of New Brunswick, but otherwise that would be quite cool.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Lat time we were up, bugs were quite tame. There was a massive slug outbreak one year during the rain though. You could skate on them. Very weird feeling.

Last year going to NB (or further) was the only way to escape gloomy wet NS weekends. BSBNB was glorious (unless you were the lobster twins - Sleepyjamie and his co-brewer - don't forget the sunblock, guys).
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.
In Primary: Doggone American Rye Pale Ale

So it looks like the Cask is on! We will be bringing a Cask of Dry Hopped IPA (We're thinking Horizon for dry hopping, but haven't made the final decision on that).

Chalmers, I might be persuaded if there is still interest. What time were you thinking?

I'm golfing that day, but I also want to hit this up. I may have to go for a nap in between

It starts at 5, so I think I'll aim for then. Would like to hear about the food menu, not getting a lot of info out of them on FB.

I think Chalmers might have been thinking they would have a few 'Occupy' food specials...

Yes! Thinking to slide by RB for a tea weizen or imperial red beforehand. :spilly:

Since that's the second time you've felt the need to comment on something I've said to Chalmers in the last couple of days, I think you're missing something. Me and Chris (Chalmers) are friends, I'm just razzing him.

So, there will be a few special items for the takeover.
Mussels in Honey Wheat
Scallops with bacon IPA sauce
Steak with dark Munich Ragout

LD and I are planning on a 5pm arrival. Probably not hitting up the RB beforehand.

So razzing you should be fair game then? Or no?
