Time Lag on Notifications on Posts

[jason.loxton]

I get notifications of "new" posts put up in the classified section, but they seem to come nearly at random and always considerably after the post time. For example, i just got an emailed notification of the Grimross job posting right now (Monday, 4:30 pm), when the last post in that thread was 8:47 am today, and the thread started yesterday at 6 pm. Anyone want to comment? Is there a way of reducing the lag? I would actually like to use the notification feature to check out new items for sale before they get snapped up, but emails a day later aren't useful.
