First dry hop

Post by Comforteagle » Sun May 10, 2015 10:41 pm

i dry hopped a festa pale ale with .5 oz of Cascade & trying it today got no real hops aroma. I think it must have been too little. What say you? Is that enough to get some aroma???

Yeah that's not very much. I usually go at least 2oz, usually more.

If you are going to dry hop I'd start with 2 oz for a 5-6 gallon batch. For double IPA's 4-5 oz.
