BrewNosers FaceBook Account

Post by mcgster » Sun Mar 01, 2015 4:54 pm

Is there a BrewNosers account setup on FB. Following some of the other clubs and their active FB presence makes me think it would be great to have someone running a FB account. This would be especially helpful with the Brewnoser competition coming up.

I think that's a good idea. Only disappointment with other club's FB pages is they only seem to write something on them once in a blue moon.

Just need to sync it with Twitter and setup a standard to announce and post to it.

IE: Congrats to Comp winners, announce comps, etc.

Here's an example of a good home brew club page: https://www.facebook.com/NYCHomebrew" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I agree completely, i'm not a big twitter user but i do check it because some breweries are now pushing out just to twitter. I definitely think if we had a standard approach like keith suggested it would keep it active along with frequent pics pushed to it. We do have a lot of activity here and it pushes me to brew more and better beer!

I think the way these accounts work is that there are multiple admins, and you can just make someone an admin after they like the page which would authorize them to post. This would keep it off 1 persons plate.

It would help, especially if every Facebook post automatically was sent out on twitter at the same time. Right now I end up announcing sponsors on twitter via my own account and tagging @thebrewnosers

You can do this through a few different tools, i think Hootsuite is (or was) the most popular way to post the same to twitter and facebook.
