Iced Tea Style Braggot???

I'm really into the Arazona green tea with orange blossom honey and I keep imagining and light drinking 3.5% - 4% drink for summer that kinda captures the same refreshing flavours. I'm thinking of just brewing a 4 gallon light beer with a little 2 row, throwing in some honey and light hops probably a citrusy hop. Ferment it out and then add a gallon of extra strong green tea that was steeped with citrus zest and maybe a little more honey for a touch of sweetness. Combine the two in a keg and cold crash. I am trying to avoid the tea actually fermenting. Not sure what that would do but I don't really want to find out. Anybody have any objections? Am I heading towards disaster?

You probably won't get much out of the honey in the initial ferment unless you use 30‰+...

I think I'll aim for 50%. I'm only looking for about 4% abv anyways so I don't think it will cost too terribly much for honey. Anyone know a good spot to buy honey? Are there cheaper places than the grocery store?

I'm late, so you may already have started this one...

I might try here: http://www.footefamilyfarm.com/honey.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . Nice and local, run by good people. They'll sell in bulk, however much you're looking for, and usually have reasonable prices on their stuff. Not sure how much their honey goes for. Failing that, maybe Bulk Barn?

Looks like a neat brew, Les. Keep us all updated on how it goes!

:cheers2:
