Hey guys and gals.
I'm sitting on my first kick at a "gingerbread brown" and I seem to have hit every mark (body, abv, mouthfeel etc.)
But its tasting like I may have accidentally doubled up on the ginger.
I've little experience with filtering brews (keg to keg) but I'm wondering if maybe that might help remove some of the ginger?
Hit it with some lactose or some kind of sweetener to try and balance it out?
Its drinkable, just not where I wanted it. Its a light to medium body so it could maybe handle some kind of an addition.
Any help or ideas are much appreciated.

I can't give you much input on the way of filtering but if this beer is fairly fresh, just give it some more time. Spices tend to mellow out with age. The very first pumpkin ale I made was perfectly spiced for my taste about a week after bottling but after a month or so the spices were almost undetectable.

I did a ginger pale last year and used a pound of ginger during the boil.
Several additions starting around 30 min. It was very dry and gingery, a small amount of sugar in the glass helped balance it out.

Beer.

I brewed an Allagash white clone and used ginger in it. Ginger was pronouced at first but it has since mellowed since. I think time will be your friend on this one.

Thanks, gentlemen. Usually I would just let it sit and hope for the best, however this is one of many batches I had hoped to have ready for a wedding at the end of april. I'm thinking I might just add some brown sugar to taste and filter at the time of kegging. Here goes nothing.
