Thoughts on saving a blended yeast

I recently made an IPA with Wyeast 1203 Burton IPA blend. I have read warnings on some other yeasts not to make starters with blends as it will throw off the original ratio of the various strains in the blend due to different growth rates. Now that I've brewed with a blend, is it worth saving the yeast since all of the component strains have probably grown at different rates and the resultant yeast cake will not be as originally intended? I'm imagining a wildcard yeast that changes with every generation if I go ahead and save this one.

I wonder how the yeast would develop over time if you kept using it frequently.
