CO2 High Pressure Valve

Post by Keith » Fri Mar 07, 2014 6:16 pm

Any recommendations on how to get the old high pressure valve off the regulator?? My little girl arms are apparently not strong enough or someone put this together with Gorilla glue.

They are tight - there was a threadlocker type compound on mine.

I took one apart last night and I had to use a torch to heat the regulator because some tard used locktite instead of Teflon tape...
Also, the high pressure gauge and the port that connects to your tank are left hand thread on quality regulators. I think the china regulator I have is right hand thread (at least on the gauge port).
I had to clamp it in my vice.

Looks like I'll need to get a vice or locate one haha. Glad to hear it isn't my little girl arms.

FYI, every factory regulator I have seen uses hydraulic locktite on the gauges. Might be code...
