Heat source for a temperature controller
I'm putting together a fermentation chamber from an old fridge. I'm going to pick up one of the ready-to-go temp controllers from Dave and now all I have to do it figure what I will use as a heat source. I've read some people use a light bulb and others use aquarium heaters. What do you guys use? Thanks.

Re: Heat source for a temperature controller
Last week I had a guy buy a controller and a heater wrap. He told me he tapes the wrap to the inside of his chamber (fridge) and uses it to warm it. I had never thought about doing that. Anyone see any issue with it (as I might try it myself).
I was planning on doing to light bulb in a can thing, but this seems easier.

With no contact to something to conduct the heat away it may burn out the wrap. I know you can scorch a belt.

a small portable space heater make sure you run it on the lowest setting though. I think those controllers are good to 10 amps. a small hair drier would work as well.
