Source for 12oz pop top bottles?

Post by mcgster » Thu Jan 23, 2014 4:00 pm

Does anyone have a source for 12 oz pop top bottles?

I was looking at sending some beer to a competition in the mail and I only use grolsh flip tops myself.

I went to the local redemption Center and they told me the only 12oz pop tops they have are sam adams and they have the logo embossed on them. I'm not sure if that would be fine or not.

I've submitted beers in dogfish head bottles and spearhead bottles before without any issues (both have embossed logos), so I think you would be fine with the sam adams bottles

Fermenting: Oud bruin/Vienna Pekko SMaSH
On tap: Nelson dry hopped Berliner/ Scottish Heavy 70-/ NE IPA

I thought so.. i was just worried about all the wording around any labels have to be blacked out. I would hate to go to the work of sending a beer in just to have it sent back!

Thanks Jon

I've got six to a dozen I could part with that aren't branded if you want them for submitting your entries.

Sorry for some reason i didn't get the notification for this!

I actually ordered some from amazon.com it was only 9.99 for 24, i combined the shipping with a few items and it worked out to be about50 cents a bottle. Not terrible
