Just took a quick look through my brew log book for 2013 and realize my wife may be right, I've spent a bit of time brewing this year. Here's some quick stats:

2013 in Review:
Number of brew sessions: 17
Average time per session: 5 hours, including cleanup
Total Time Brewing: 85 hours
Total finished product: 370L

Add on time for keg cleanup, carboy cleaning, tap cleaning, bottling, growler filling, gear rebuild, etc. and the time easily surpasses the 100 hour mark. How did everyone else do this year?

Never tracked how much time I spent, however it was non stop. I was brewing essentially for me and my 2 buddies who were up a few nights a week. Found it to be too much time spent brewing.

i will not document online my brewing stats....just incase my wife finds out how much time ive been wasting lol...

we have a don't ask don't tell policy going on...if I say how much i brew...it makes it real lol.

That being said, I'm brewing tomorrow, an irish red and an apa for superbowl

and she bought all of my kegging gear for me as a christmas gift

Yea I just brew, she doesn't ask, however she is chewing my ass on how much space it all takes and that brewing in the kitchen makes the house smell like a barn (already permitted to get a outdoor setup, just not ready to brew outdoors yet lol)

Ordered gear for brewing all grain in April of this year after about a 7 year hiatus from brewing festabrew kits. My first batch was kegged in late may.

That's 12 batches or 240 L of delicious homebrew! I'm not sure what my average brewing session time was. I know my first batch took about 8 hours, and my last few have taken about 5.

Next year is going to start with a big Imperial IPA. Can't wait!
