Precision Hydrometers

Post by AllanMar » Sun Dec 08, 2013 9:43 pm

Anyone know where I can get a decent set of hydrometers? I'm getting annoyed with the cheap ones, and would like something with a more spread out scale.

I haven't had much luck finding anything except from the big US brew shops (which isn't a great price, and not exactly what I'm looking for).

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

They're hard to come by!

I've done a couple group buys on them here, a search for saccharometer should turn up the info :cheers2:

Fisher Sientific, Burnside might have some decent ones.

Winemakeri in Sackville has a bunch. They are not open to the public but you can pick up orders at the warehouse after a day or two. Their 0.95-1.020 bottle hydrometer is on my wish list.

Thanks, another great source for stuff.

I feel stupid as I've been on that site before but never bought anything as it wasn't worth it with shipping. Never even thought they might be local.
